E.L.F Lip Haul

Well I recently had a lovely E.L.F haul and wanted to show the haul in different sections, so first up is all the yummy lip products! yay!

I decided to get a variety of the lip products as I had not seen many reviews or uses in YT videos, so thought I would have to find out for myself!

Here are the delightful bunch :)

E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Colour! - Praline

Well, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this lip pen! It glides on well and even though its matte it doesn't dry out your lips (which is important for me as I have the driest skin on planet earth!) it is actually quite moisturising which I wasn't expecting!. Also what I noticed about this lip colour is that it lasts for ages, it even survived a cheese sandwich which in my book means a great deal when it comes to lasting lip colour!

The other colours they have in this Studio Range are beautiful, ranging from a pale nude to this gorgeous Praline and I will certainly be getting more of these, they are perfect to wear under gloss and the sleek pen style helps it to be easily carried in your purse or handbag.

you can buy this product direct from the E.L.F website HERE.

E.L.F Mineral Lipstick

This lipstick range beautiful for a many reasons,
1. They are 200% mineral based and full of gorgeousness such as Shea butter, Jojoba and coconut oil! yum!
2. They are really moisturising and as I have said before, my skin gets really dry so needs all the help it can get to retain moisture!
3. The cost is great at £3.50! you can buy direct from the E.L.F website HERE
4. They come in a HUGE range of colours!

Nicely Nude
I adore the colour of this lipstick, its a perfect spring/summer colour, its not too heavy and feels like your wearing a really nourishing lip balm! It is described as having gold in it which is really subtle and gives it a really nice sheen effect.

Cheeful Cherry

Although I love this lipstick for all the many reasons I listed above, sadly this cheerful cherry is a bit too cheerful for me! For me this is too winey in colour which does not suit my skin tone at all and I was hoping for a deeper cherry colour, however, I know this will suit many other people so it will be happily placed in my kit which I am building up for when I become a pro MUA!

E.L.F Hypershine Lip-gloss's & Luscious Liquid Lipstick

These lipgloss's and liquid lipstick are really thick in consistency and quite tacky (you certainly don't want to get your hair stuck in it!), so I would avoid wearing it on a windy day!.

Although the colour looks quite strong when the gloss is sitting in its tube, when applied it becomes very sheer and only shows a hint of colour! I even struggled to identify between the Ruby slipper liquid lipstick or the Mauve hypershine in the photos that I took - and still wondering if I got the selection right! You will have to let me know what you think!

The price of the hypershine gloss is £1.50, which I think is excellent value for the amount of product that you get!

The price of the luscious liquid lipstick is also at an incredible £1.50!

You can buy these lip-gloss's directly from the E.L.F website HERE

You can buy the liquid lipstick directly from the E.L.F website HERE

Hypershine Gloss - Bare

Hypershine Gloss - Mauve

Luscious Liquid Lipstick - Ruby Slipper

E.L.F Glossy Gloss

These glossy gloss's are from the E.L.F studio range and cost £3.50 each, the colour pay off of these gloss's are fantastic and can easily be worn on their own when you want a strong colour or over any lipstick. Again, as above theses gloss's do last quite a while before you feel the need to 'top-up' and also I found they didn't leave an uneven looking stain to my lip if I chose not to re-apply.

The applicator looks quite simple but effective, however I have only applied these using my finger as these will be a must have in my make-up kit for using on clients!

You get get your hands on these lovely glossy gloss's directly from the E.L.F website HERE

I hope you found this review helpful! :)

Classic Brown Make-up Look :)

I decided to create a look using warm colours which complimented by skin tones and eye colour. I really liked this look and although its probably a bit more than i would usually wear on a daily basis, I would in fact wear this in the day time.

I kept this make-up on for the rest of the day and even had a couple of nice comments - which is always a bonus! :)

All the products I used to create this look are shown in the video, if you have any questions on the products please leave me a comment below :)

I hope you like this look and thank you for watching!

L'oreal Superliner Gel Review

Ok, so lets begin by stating the facts on this product.....we just don't get along!

I was quite excited about the product when I purchased it (well obviously or I wouldn't had spent my dosh on it!). This product sold it self to me that it will last up to 24 hours and create a striking black look! (this excited me even more lol!) RRP of £6.99

I loved the packaging and that it came with a small eye liner brush!

I applied this gel, which went on beautifully and as it says on the tin it created a nice intense look and I also found the brush very handy which did its job very well.....so you may be wondering at which point we fell out with each other....well I'm sad to say it happened about 10 minuets after application!.

I had by this point applied all my make up and was very happy with the end result, I then went on about my business (as you do) - then to my annoyance as I looked in the mirror for a quick check to find  that the gel eye liner had transferred onto my upper lid and the bottom of my brow bone, not a happy Becky!

I corrected it and re-applied my eye shadow, by this point i noticed that the gel looked grey - not black, so decided I would touch it up with a bit more product and also allowed it to 'set' to see if that helped.

Throughout the day I noticed the eye liner became very grey in colour and the product has somehow nestled into the creases of my lid! All in all I decided that we needed to part our ways so off came the gel liner (once I had taken my pic) and all went back in the box.

I am truly disappointed with the results of this gel liner as i really thought it was going to be a lovely product, I love the packaging and the texture of the gel, but for some reason it just didn't take well to my eyelids.

Maybe in the future I will get this liner back out its box and give it another chance, but for now it will remain at the bottom of my make-up bag. (sorry!)

This is how it looked at the end of the day (worn approx 8 hours)

Here is the result of the the gel eye liner after wearing it for approx 8 hours - I know that is quite a while, however I think when it is claiming to last up to 24 hours - I would expect it to still look pretty good by the time I am ready to remove my make-up before bed time....

I would love to hear anyone else's experience of this product, I hope that most people who have tried it have found it to be a success! it would be very interesting to find out!

So please leave a comment below :)

Nail-tastic! Miss Sporty & Boots False Nails Review

This is a combo of products as I thought they deserve to be reviewed together! They go together like strawberrys and cream, Sunday's and pj's, chocolate and more chocolate lol!....yes, it's falsies and polish (best friends).

I have had gel nails in the past and every time I went to the salon I felt like I was indulging in some quality me time, I loved every minute of it! Sadly though it became way too expensive and hard to justify continuing my salon visits :(

I have seen various reviews on the Boots 200 Clear Nails and decided to give them a go! the RRP is only £8.50 which i think is fantastic value for 20 sets! and considering I have spent £6.00 on 1 set and £38.00 for a gel nail set I felt these were an absolute BARGAIN!

You can purchase them by going to this link: here

Once I had prepared my nails I selected the sizes of nails that suited me, one thing that i was really impressed with was that I only had to file a couple of the nails to fit mine and then I filed down the length to my preference.

It tool me in total about 10 mins max to stick all the nails on and file, which is great if your in a rush to get out the house! The next step was to apply polish to the nails, for this I chose a Miss Sporty Polish which cost £1.99, again an absolute bargain! I LOVE the Miss Sporty range and have had a few colours in the past, they go onto the nail brilliantly and are not watery at all!

The colour is a sort of dark green velvety colour and almost looks black in some lights, I personally don't think I could pull this colour off on my natural nail but on the falsies i think it looks great!.

The finished look!

So far i have had these nails on for 3 days and have had no problems, they have survived showers and washing up which is a surprise to me as I thought I may have had one or two casualties by now!

Very happy with these little beauties and will definitely be re purchasing them! :)

OOTD :)

And to follow on from the FOTD I thought I would do an OOTD! Well it would be rude not too ;)

My jumper featured in my previous Primark haul yesterday so check it out for more info...it's peach coloured and I love it as it gives my skin tone a bit of warmth, which lets face it anything helps in these wintry cold days brrrrr!

Under my jumper I have yet another Primark item, this time it's a flesh coloured vest £2.00, bargin!!

Bottom half I have old faded jeggins :) I think these are also from Primark! Haha! And if I remember rightly they were around £8.00 - love these, they are soooo comfy and I also have them in blue denim, might even get myself some more.....(slight addiction to primarni?!?).

Boots are from a random shoe shop, helpful I know! Lol but there are so many similar styles out there at the moment so any comfy boots would do, they were roughly £16.00 :)

Errrrm, well I think that's it!?, oh the knecklace also featured in my recent haul and you will never guess where I got it from......lol!

Again, let me know if these OOTD & FOTD are of any interest and I will do them more frequently.

Love, love, love :)

THIS IS A UK ONLY GIVEAWAY

Half term Holibobs :)

So me and my gorgeous daughter decided to come to Bournemouth and spend half term with family whilst hubby stays home and earns pennies!

I thoroughly enjoy seeing my parents for many reasons, some of the best reasons are getting a bit of pampering, endless cups of tea and chats about life that lead well into the night :) can't beat hotel mum and dads ;)

So me and mother have a big shopping day planned which I am very excited about! I'm hoping a large haul blog and video will follow soon after my return home so I can share all my lovely purchases :) its not often I get to do a good shop session so I will be taking full advantage of this rare occasion lol!!

I will post some pics of my gorgeous having fun at the beach park yesterday :)

Mwah x

Mini shopping haul - first up is Primark :)

Ok, so I have done a teeny weeny little bit of shopping today and there's nothing like a bit of retail therapy to cheer you up on a blustery winters day!!

So, firstly I went to Primark and bough a peachy coloured gap lace jumper, I LOVE IT! I usually find it hard to but tops in primarni as their clothes are not generally made to fit 'bigger busted' ladies like myself, but utter surprise it fit me well and is even on the baggy side which is even better :)
I will add a pic below...its a really light weight material with elasticated cuffs and waist band. The back of the jumper is solid material which I really like and tbh I feel this jumpers looks much more expensive than the £8.00 I paid for it! They had it in a cream colour also but as I'm always picking monochrome then I thought a little bit of colour wouldn't hurt!

I also bought a lovely long gold pendent chain which had a cluster of charms at the end, it's really pretty an actually looks great with the jumper I bought, it's very...well, girly! Lol! And it only cost £2.00, happy days :)

Well, I could have spent all day in the scarf section, they had mahoosive amounts and nearly all I like (apart from the one that resembled vomit!) but I chose to be good and walked away with just one. I went for the skull scarf and absolutely love it! I noticed they ha a white one so may go and get that before I head back up north. The scarf cost either £3.00 or £4.00 I can't quite remember, but which ever it was I felt it was a great price!

And last but no means least I got myself a make-up bag to keep some of my palettes in and larger items as I am running out of space in my kit bag (need to invest in a case :-/ ) anyhoo, this is a very practical makeup bag and for £4.00 I thought it was well worth the purchase. It's very spacious and has a cute little badge on the front saying 'make me gorgeous', well it won me over! Lol

Green/Brown Smokey Eye

Well, today I decided to do a green/brown smokey eye.
I had intended to do a YT vid for this look, however I ran out of day light so thought I would add it on here instead :)

So, firstly I did my base, for this I used the following:

17 Photo Flawless Primer
Rimmel Lasting perfection foundation (3, Biscuit)
Rimmel Lasting perfection Concealer (Looooove this!)

No Make-up...Meh!

I then took an E.L.F eyeshadow brush and covered my lid in Supernova (Sleek Me, Myself & Eye) which is a gorgeous taupe(ish) colour and created a good base to build up the look.

Me, Myself & Eye Palette <3

I then took another E.L.F brush (crease brush) and took a mid-brown colour from my Warm E.L.F Palette.

I worked this gorgeous coffee brown into the crease to give the look a bit of depth and to start building up the smokey effect. I then used the Supernova from earlier to soften and blend up to the brow bone.

I chose to use the green in my sleek palette, which is called Primal Green, it's a gorgeous olive green with a small amount of sparkle to it - perfect for the look I want to achieve.

I am loving green eyeshadow's at the moment, which is actually a colour I have never thought of wearing before! I personally feel that the warmer greens are a perfect colour for winter, and brown tones really compliment it!

I then added a very thin black liquid liner with a slight wing to it - this look could easily lend to a heavier line and wing and some super lashes, however I chose to keep it a fairly simple style.

I used a GOSH black pencil liner on my tight line as well as on my waterline but kept it more along the lashes and smudged this out to create a softer look. I curled my lashes (which are pathetic excuses for lashes lol) and applied a good coating of Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara in black.

On my cheeks I used the Sleek Contour Kit in Light and applied the highlighter to my higher cheek bones and brow bone, also I used MUA shade 2 blusher.
For my lips I applied a thin coating of my E.L.F Glossy Gloss Berry Blush to complete the look!

So here is the finished look!
